Swimming Pool Chemicals
If you are put off by the price of purchasing a swimming pool for your family’s entertainment, you might want to consider the purchase of a used swimming pool. Of course I’m talking about above the ground swimming pools. An in ground pool would not be much of a bargain to move!
If you decide to go the route of purchasing a used swimming pool, be sure to examine the pool closely for any signs of damage. Most of the time these pools will be sold “as is”. Here are a few things to keep in mind while you are looking.
- See if you can find out why the people are getting rid of the pool. Often it is because their children or grandchildren have moved away.
- Ask how long it has been since the pool was last used. Anything to get the owner to talking about the pool’s history is a good topic to bring up.
- Find out if you will have to disassemble the pool or if it is already down.
- If the pool is already taken apart, ask if all necessary parts are still with the pool.
- Find out if accessories are included in the purchase price.
You can find some very nice deals when you shop for used pools. Use some common sense and ask questions though.
